Today was our first fabulous day in the Light Room! We welcomed each other by playing an icebreaker name game and introducing our welcome songs during morning meeting.

After getting to know one another we all had a delicious and nutritious snack of apples. cheese, and crackers!
Let's Play!
We explored our neighborhood to find a beautiful park right in walking distance of our school! Putting our gross motor skills to work, the Light Room friends had a blast sliding down the slide, swinging on the swings, and climbing the monkey bars.
Light Room's Book of the Week
This month's theme is: All about me! As our Light Room friends continue to learn more about their daily routines and schedule, it is apropo to read a new book every week relating to our month's theme. This week our star book is, "Maisy Goes To Preschool: A Maisy First Experiences Book," by Lucy Cousins.
Light Room Reminders:
The Light Room will be having their individual and class pictures taken on Monday August 8th.
